Site updates
Assemblies and annotations added in 2023-24.
The LIS, SoyBase, and PeanutBase teams have added nine new genome assemblies and annotation sets in Q4 2023 and Q1 2024:
- Arachis stenosperma (a wild relative of peanut, with resistance to several important peanut diseases)
- Cercis chinensis (ornamental tree, also used as a model for evolutionary studies in the legume family)
- Soybean (four new reference-quality assemblies and annotation sets)
- Medicago truncatula, HM078(an accession resistant to fungal agent of spring black stem and leaf spot)
- Scarlet runner bean (Phaseolus coccineus, one of five domesticated Phaseolus species)
- Common bean, accession OAC Rex (developed in Canada)
